It was nice to return to Horncastle Theatre to paint another sign. This time it was the main theatre sign . Above see the old sign next to the new replacement
Trip back to Boston marketplace to change the name on “Sams Fish & Chip shop” it has now returned back to the old name of “Captain Cod”.
It was nice to be asked back to Dennett’s Ice Cream Parlour, the beautiful old and very popular shop at the top of Lincoln near the famous Cathedral and Castle to paint their walls again. It’s the second time I’ve painted it over the years. It’s always great to work up there with the wonderful atmosphere also all the lovely comments from the passing pedestrians & customers enjoying their wonderful Dennett’s ice cream.
Some house signs this month for a railway enthusiast. There were three signs in all - two signs for a double sided sign at the entrance gate and the final one for the gable end of the bungalow. A very enjoyable job.
Another house sign this month painted onto glass above front door. This was followed by a sign for St Peter’s Church at Gayton-le-wold.
Helping out a friend with a rather odd request to paint up these two old household objects .... but I was happy to help out & enjoyed the job very much. The first was a mop bucket. The second object was a bathtub from the past.
This month I was treading the boards... well maybe just painting them really for the Red Lion Theatre in Horncastle. They do a great job entertaining us all.
