The latest shop to move into Woodhall Spa is “R. Arnold Funeral Services” Their shop in Station Road was the old “Flower Shop” which sadly closed. The sign measured 18’ long & 15” deep painted in gold on a black background with a Lily at the end.

A nice day to be painting two 5’ ice creams for the entrance to Wrights ice cream Parlour at Willougby I repainted the ice creams but was restricted by the shape of the wood but I think they are a slight improvement from the original.
Below you can see the before and after ice creams. A little bit of wall painting in Lincoln at Living Colours Tattoo parlour. It was nice to paint their logo on the wall as it’s a great logo and it stands out well. Also I painted a cutout of the logo which was 4’x3’ to put on the west wall up high. The wall was just too rough to paint.
Two large canopies and matching balances to paint this month for “The Hot Roast” company at Skegness. This has been the third time I have painted their canopies over the years and it’s always nice to be invited back.
Painted the name back on the Horncastle Grammar School House this month after they had repainted the outside. It was nice to work on such a beautiful old building.
I had a very interesting morning walking round Boultham Park in Lincoln painting the five map information boards situated at the five gates into the park. Although I had a map of the situation of the five signs one turned out very difficult to find and after a very long walk round discovered I had the map upside down... enough said!! I was very surprised by the park as I did not know of it’s existence. It really was a beautiful and very popular place with lots of walkers, runners, cyclists and picnicers. I had a peaceful and stress free morning painting the signs before a very stressful afternoon watching Leeds Utd inching towards the Premiership.
It was great to paint yet another lorry and trailer for Chris from Baumber. This is the third one I have worked on & as always it was a very enjoyable job. The trailer has a picture of a angel dog rising up to heaven along with a popular poem and was painted in the memory of Chris’s old dogs Ryple & Jakx who greatly much loved. There is also a mention to Axyl his present dog, on the back doors of the trailer as you can see below. Chris says this is the last lorry he is going to restore it’s been an absolute pleasure working on Chris’s vehicles and thank him for his trust in me.
This month I returned to Pudleduck House to repaint the sign I painted some five years before. Let’s hope I get the call in another five years.
