tOp of the world
While I was in Bailgate fitting the signs back up and repainting the bracket I could not help remembering back to my time spent on jury service at the Crown Court in the castle grounds way back in 1982. When we were finally let out for our lunch Some of us walked round these wonderful streets looking in the shops and were thrilled to discover the TV cameras were filming "Oliver Twist". How exciting it was with snow machines and actors in costumes everywhere. The funny thing is the characters did not look out of place but mostly I remember what a wonderful atmosphere it was and still is today some 34 years later!! I only hope I get the chance to do more work in that wonderful area.
