I changed my van this month after many weeks of looking for the right size van at the right price. Getting my van was only the first step as finding time to signwrite it at this very busy time was a big challenge but in the end I just went ahead and painted it as I just would have kept putting it off if I had not taken the bull by the horns. I changed my van not because my old van was past it but purely because of size. I am pleased with the new van and it certainly gets attention wherever it goes as the old one did. You can see them both together below before I cleaned the letters off. The old van is finally up for sale. A great vehicle for someone as it never let me down once in the four years I owned it. So someone's on to a good thing and best of all for the buyer I know a good signwriter.!!!

Horncastles Card Shop (Fletcher & Hughes) has now moved down the road into the Bull ring .i have painted Rachel's last three shops and it's nice to see her successful business grow. Below is Her old shop which I also painted.
What a wonderful time I had this month painting signs for Longwool Shepherd Hut in Old Woodhall. If you are looking for a special and unusual place to spend a few nights you could not choose anywhere better than here. The unique hut is set in 22 acres of natural outstanding beautiful countryside . With wonderful vistas all round and just the songs of the birds to disturb the golden silence. It really is a glorious place to relax and leave your hectic life behind. Best of all you should have no problem at all finding it now not with the new signs as you can see above
It was nice to have a day off this month after another hectic four weeks work. So it was a walk round Lincoln looking at all 37 knights with my wife and able assistant Diana. The weather was fantastic and there were lots of people with the same idea we had. The walk started outside the museum and after a long tour round Lincoln from top to bottom and back up hill finishing at the wonderful Cathedral. Above are just some of the 37 knights which were well worth the long walk round Lincoln to see. Here pictured above are our favourites mine is "knight of the skies" which was superbly painted with the Lancaster and airmen painted on the side. Diana chose "knight in the Forrest" which was situated in the main precinct and certainly had the best setting. The final knight after a very tiring but very worthwhile walk was situated in the grounds of the Cathedral and we could not help but take a picture of the magnificent building before making our way back to the car and home.
I had quite a lot of banners and boards for the Lincolnshire Show this month. One of the more unusual jobs was for "1 Stop Spa's" of Billinghay. It was a nice logo and good to paint The signs were covers for their show stand so look out for it if you visit.
Another trailer this month and this time it was for a vegetable company promoting Kale. I enjoyed painting it although it was a busy noisy workshop but all the work force were helpful and nice.
Hopefully there will be more trailers to follow. It was nice to get a call from Clare at Stubton Hall this month. You may remember I painted the main sign which stands at the entrance last year. On that occasion it was a scorcher of a day and this year it was no different with the sun baking down again. Maybe the sun always shines at Stubton!! What a beautiful setting it is. No wonder lots of couples choose Stubton Hall for their special day. This time Clare wanted me to replace the directional boards in the grounds and you can see them below . Once again a big thank you to Richard who as always did a fantastic job with the woodwork. Below is the entrance sign painted last year and still looking good one year on!! Below you can see just what a beautiful place Stubton Hall really is to tie the knot.
I finally got back to Sleaford Market place this week to finish the final three shop fronts to complete all five. This time it was the Market Square Cafe and Restaurant which required writing on both sides. I did it on a very hot Sunday and was pleased to work in the shade of the new canopys whilst there I was well supplied with cold drinks by the lovely ladies in the cafe so a big thank you to them. Below is a reminder of the first three shops which were "Hairy Fairy", "Expressions" & "Ballisimo Boutique" all of which are doing very well in the busy market square. As you can see below the market place looks really nice now which is a credit to Jenny and her teams of workers. The refurbishment of the shops has really transformed the market place and it was nice to be a small part of it all.
The White Horse at Sleaford was one of three pub signs this month as you can see below. A big thank you to Jessica who sent me a a photo of her beautiful white horse for me to use.
