Unusual job this month as I had to paint lots of plant pots for Jaquie at “Truly Vintage” in Horncastle. The pots were for her stand at the forties weekend in Woodhall Spa which was as always a great success and Jaquie tells me nearly all the pots sold.
I was fortunate enough to paint another airplane again this month. This time it was an “Auster A.O.P. Mk V” and it was an honour to paint.
I worked on a Turnbull curtain sider this month. The lorry was used at their Sleaford depot but has now been transferred to Brigg and so had to have its address and telephone numbers cleaned off and re painted on the back, front and the curtain sides.
This month it was time to say goodbye to my old van which I have had now for four years. It has never let me down. It has taken me quite a while to find enough spare time to take off the signwriting. You can see below (after & before) she looks as good as ever. Here are some pictures of my van when it was in its prime... firstly when I had the great honour of signwriting a vintage mini van in the same hanger as those famous Red Arrows, a day I shall never forget. And also pictured beside the Angel of the North and finally when a peacock took to admiring my work. Below is my new van which I am really pleased with and everyone seems to like.
