Another unusual job for Truly Vintage in Horncastle. This time it was two shoe shine boxes which are very popular at the moment.

Unusual job this month as I lettered a pizza oven for the “Caffe Portico” in the centre of Lincoln. The owner has made the oven himself for special Pizza nights. You can see the making of the oven from start to finish on their instagram page. The cafe has a very busy restaurant and the staff were rushed all throughout my time there.
Nice to help Julie at the Jubilee Park Cafe with some signs ready for opening this month. Let’s hope it’s a bumper year with lots of sun, fun & ice cream sold.
It’s always an honour to be asked to signwrite on a new vehicle especially in this world of vynal lettering. So even better to be asked back to paint a second one for the same firm a year later. Hortons of Lincoln the Skoda & Seat specialists were the owners. They are a family firm with plenty of history and are now a big part of Lincoln.
Nice to make new signs for The Original Cake Co in Lincoln for the IFE Show in London. A real pleasure to work for such a successful business. Richard made a great job making the circles which were made of strips of wood, stained and then I painted the logo on. I also painted a plaque for their shop bike.
I hope to have a picture of the plaque fixed onto the bike at a later date. I had the pleasure of painting the two doors from a rare three wheeled Lambretta this month which I found very enjoyable. The owner is going to distress the paintwork all over the scooter so I look forward to a photo of the finished scooter. It’s the fifth scooter I have painted in the last couple of years and they are always a joy to do.
