While we were there I took the chance to take some pictures of a few of the shops I had painted over the last few years in their 40's decorations and also one or two of the vehicles I had painted. You can see them below along with a picture of Winston Churchill who was doing the rounds.
It was the 1940's weekend in wodhall spa again this month. And I took time out to look round With Diana. It was a great atmosphere in the village with thousands of people coming to join in the fun. As always the shops had all decorated their windows and there were many old vehicles including tanks, cars, lorries and even a London double decker bus running about in the village. While Di and I were enjoying the celebrations we were lucky enough to see the spitfire flying down the Broadway in woodhall Spa luckily I filmed it and you can see the result below.

Premier Pets in Woodhall Spa got a makeover this month when the owner updated his logo and just in time for the 40's Weekend as well. Woodhall Spa as usual was alive with visitors walking about the town looking in the shops and generally sight seeing. It was nice to get some good feedback from passers by who stopped to talk but unusually i had competition this time as Lincoln Owl Rescue had set up next door and there was only one winner here.... Well four actually!!...... and as you can see below all four were very cute I stood no chance at all. But at least the sign turned out well as you can see below where it is pictured next to the original canopy which I had painted some years earlier.
