I restored two more old oil cans this month as you can see below. The cans are Shell and are to be put on a very old vintage car. Below are three more I painted earlier in the year.
What a wonderful afternoon I had signwriting some boards for Lincoln Antiques and Collectables who are on Steep Hill in Lincoln. Whilst pushing a brush up and down a board I had the pleasure of listening to the birds, hearing children playing in a nearby school, the local church bell striking every half hour and getting paid at the same time. Does anyone have a better job than me !! Below is the shop the signs will be going in. It’s half way up steep Hill and some - what of a welcome stop to many weary walkers to Lincoln City Centre.
I had a day painting door names on the doors at the beautiful and peaceful South Ormsby Rectory. The rooms are named after just a few of the more colourful characters who were rectors there. I also made & painted some key fobs for the rooms as well. Below is a time lapse of me painting one of the doors What a fabulous shop to paint this month, Hopper’s, of Boston, have a superb history and are a large part of Boston. It was a joy to work on such a beautiful shopfront and for such an historic business. Whilst there I also painted the shop number on the wall to match one a few doors down.
It was a month for “a boards” as I had lots to do there are five of them below. Above is the sign for Premier Pets and below is the Woodlands Cafe “A” board. Both are in Woodhall Spa Above is another “a board for the successful “Leadenham tea shop” which was one of two of the same. And below is the sign for “Durham Ox” at Thimbleby. and finally “Molly &Me” also in Woodhall Spa
This month I painted a milk churn for Mrs Greys Sweet Cart in Lincoln. You may remember I painted the cart last month. She is going to use the churn as a seat for the cart. You can see the cart below with the owner on its first outing which I am told was very successful.
It was good to help out this month by painting a banner for a charity bike ride from Truro to Heckington a distance of 400 miles. The event is in memory of “ Andy (Stix) Thomas” and in support of Lives. It was especially nice to paint the banner as there were plenty of logos which are always a challenge and great to paint.
