It was nice to have many covers to letter some were very large and some like the one below for Jellyfish was small.
It was nice to return to Lincoln Skoda this month to signwrite Steve's new car transporter. IIt was a job I enjoyed and as always it was nice to be trusted with a new vehicle. You may remember I painted Steve's very large camper last year with a verse from Tennyson You can see it below.
It was nice to help out the Sleaford Girl Guides with a large banner for them to display at the Lincolnshire Show. Painting It brought back memories of my time spent in the cubs which were great days. So it was a pleasure to help them out.
If you are going to the show keep an eye out for the banner. Another job I painted this month was the new sign for the Malcolm Arms at Antons Gowt. The sign is about 2 miles away on one of the main roads into Boston and should catch lots of the hungry passers - by who are looking for somewhere to eat.
It was nice to return back to do more work for the lovely ladies of Alford Craft Centre this month. This time the ladies wanted one of their old signs repainted with their new logo and another new one made to match. Richard, who does all my joinery as always made a superb job of the new sign and you can see them both together below. The ladies use the signs when at outside events, shows and craft markets. below are some of the other signs I have painted for the ladies over the last few years. It's always a pleasure to work for them and also to work in Alford again which is a very nice town and well worth a visit.
A new coffee shop has now opened at Newport Arch in Lincoln and I was pleased to be chosen to do the signwriting. I seem to be getting more and more work at the top of Lincoln and it always surprises me how busy the whole area is it seems to be a magnet for visitors and it was no different the day I lettered the outside of the shop. There was also some work inside with a 5' design of their logo to go on the inside brick wall not an everyday job but a job I really enjoyed. You can see the circle below the customer seemed very pleased with my work.. Simone the owner has created a really nice shop which has a very inviting and lovely welcoming atmosphere, I'm sure it will be very successful. If in Lincoln give it a try.
