it was nice to work for Nick Again this month. This time it was a log store sign as Nick Makes and sells them and most things wood related. You may remember I lettered his trailer last year which you can see in the picture below.

This month I had quite a lot of calls to replace damaged signs from the strong winds we have been having lately. One of which was the Cafe entrance sign at the very popular “Melrose” in Woodhall Spa. So now hopefully everyone will know where to go for some first class food and a very friendly atmosphere.
House signs were popular this month, maybe it was the Christmas effect. Below are four of them. It’s always nice to do house signs especially if it’s an unusual name or colourful picture. Next month I have two larger hanging signs to paint so watch this space.
It was nice to have some scooters to paint this month. It’s a while since I painted one and just like buses two came along at the same time as you can see below. Here’s hoping it’s the first few of many to paint.
I had the strange request for two garden shed signs this month. One for a chap called Michael and the second for a circus fanatic. I’m sure you can guess which is which. I really enjoyed painting them as they were very colourful.
What a thrill this month when I was trusted with the chance to line a wonderful vintage Rolls Royce. The vehicle in question was owned by a regular customer of mine. Over the years I have signwritten many tractors and signs for Mick who’s restoring of vehicles is second to none. Sadley Mick lost his fight with cancer two years ago when he was half way through the restoration of his pride and joy the Rolls Royce. His sister continued to finish the restoration in Mick’s memory. I was honoured to be involved in the final part of the restoration and was really proud to see it finished. Mick was a perfectionist and I hope he would have approved of my efforts.
